My Track Record

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 29, 2026  ·  Last updated: June 8, 2026

The short version

This Privacy Policy explains what information the My Track Record mobile app ("My Track Record", "we", "us", or "our") collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By creating an account and using My Track Record, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

My Track Record is a voice-first fitness and diet tracking app developed by an independent developer. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at aleach95@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information

Profile and health-related information

To estimate your calorie burn and nutrition targets, My Track Record collects the profile details you choose to provide:

Activity logs

My Track Record saves the entries you create, including:

Health- and fitness-related information is treated as sensitive. We do not use it for advertising and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers needed to operate the app, described in Section 5.

Subscription information

If you purchase a My Track Record Pro subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google and managed through our subscriptions provider (RevenueCat). We receive your subscription status and transaction identifiers so we can unlock Pro features. We never receive or store your full payment-card details — those are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Information we do NOT collect

3. How voice logging works

My Track Record's core feature is logging by voice. Here is exactly what happens when you tap the microphone and speak:

  1. Your speech is recorded to a temporary audio file on your device.
  2. That audio is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which immediately forwards it to OpenAI for transcription (speech-to-text). The audio is not saved on our servers — it is processed in transit and then discarded.
  3. The resulting text transcript is sent to Anthropic (Claude), which extracts structured details (food items, exercises, calories, dates, etc.). To improve workout-calorie estimates, your most recent logged body weight and the current date are included with the transcript.
  4. The structured entry — together with the relevant portion of your transcript — is saved to your account so you can view and edit it later.

If you cancel a recording before stopping it, the audio is discarded on your device and nothing is sent anywhere.

3a. How meal & menu photos work (Pro)

With a Pro subscription, you can also log by taking a photo of a meal or a restaurant menu. Here is what happens:

  1. You choose to take a new photo or pick one from your library. My Track Record accesses the camera or photo library only for that action, and only the image you select is used.
  2. The image is sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic (Claude) to identify the food (or read the menu) and estimate calories and macronutrients. The image is processed in transit and is not stored on our servers.
  3. You review and confirm the result, and the structured entry — calories, macros, and item names — is saved to your account. The original photo itself is not saved.

4. How we use your information

5. Service providers we share data with

We use a small number of trusted service providers ("sub-processors") to run My Track Record. They process data only on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service. We do not sell your data to anyone.

By their published policies, OpenAI and Anthropic do not use data submitted through their business APIs to train their models. We encourage you to review each provider's privacy policy (linked above) for details.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.

6. Data storage and security

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and logged data for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual entries at any time within the app. When you delete your account, your profile, logs, workout plans, excluded days, and authentication record are permanently removed from our database (see Section 9). Voice audio is never retained, as described in Section 3.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

GDPR (EU/UK): Our legal bases for processing are performing our contract with you (providing the app), your consent (for processing your voice and health-related data), and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the service. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your data or account.

CCPA/CPRA (California): We do not sell your personal information and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may exercise their rights by contacting us at the email below.

To make any request, email aleach95@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Deleting your account

To permanently delete your account and all associated data:

  1. Open My Track Record and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This immediately removes your profile, all logged entries, workout plans, excluded days, and your sign-in credentials. This action cannot be undone. Note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple or Google account settings.

10. Children's privacy

My Track Record is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International users

If you use My Track Record from outside the country where our service providers store data, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries with different data-protection laws. By using My Track Record, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of My Track Record after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
